What we collect

Nothing that identifies you, unless you email us. The site has no accounts, no sign-in, no newsletter at this revision, and no forms that submit data to us. The comparison tool and the broker finder run entirely in your browser; your answers and selections are never transmitted anywhere.

Cookies and analytics

No analytics or advertising cookies are set unless you consent. Where analytics is enabled, it loads with consent defaulting to denied for analytics storage, advertising storage, advertising user data and advertising personalization. Nothing in those categories is stored until you actively opt in, and you can decline without losing access to anything on the site.

Concretely: Google Analytics is loaded with those consent defaults already denied, and Microsoft Clarity is not injected into the page at all until you accept — it has no consent controls of its own, so refusing it means not loading it. Your answer is recorded in your browser’s local storage under the key bbfi-consent, holding the single word granted or denied. That value never leaves your browser and is not a cookie, so it is not sent to us with any request. To change your answer or be asked again, clear this site’s data in your browser settings.

We do not run advertising, we do not sell or share personal information, and we do not operate cross-site tracking or advertising pixels.

Hosting and server logs

The site is served as static files by a hosting provider, which keeps standard server logs including IP addresses for security and operational purposes. That processing is the provider’s, under its own terms. We do not use those logs to build profiles of visitors.

Links to brokers

Outbound links go to third-party sites with their own privacy policies. If a link ever carries tracking parameters as part of a disclosed commercial relationship, that will be stated on the broker’s row and on our affiliate disclosure page. At present no such relationship exists and no outbound link carries tracking parameters.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of personal information, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information. The only personal information we are likely to hold is an email you chose to send us; write to editor@bestbrokersforinvesting.com and we will delete it on request.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

Material changes will be reflected in the last-updated date above. Because the site holds so little, changes here will usually concern analytics configuration rather than data we hold.
